I am trying to activate, but it says I have no more licenses left and need to buy more!

Answer:  

You can use the product on as many computers as you have activations for provided by the licenses you purchased. Typically one standard license provides 1 activation, although other licenses may provide 2 or more activations. If you are trying to reinstall and reactivate the product (due to Operating System reinstallation for example) on the same computer where you already performed activation, your old serial number will work. If, however, you are trying to install the product on a different computer - be it a new PC or virtual machine, or the same computer, but with significant hardware changes made (motherboard or CPU replaced for example) activation will fail if you no longer have available activations left.

If your order was processed on or after June 1, 2011: additional activations may be granted provided you have available activation transfers that are provided by your license, as described in our Licensing and Activation Policy. If the original license that you purchased did not include any free activation transfers, before activation transfer can be made and a new activation be granted, you will need to pay the license transfer fee to obtain the activation transfer. Please contact us if you are not sure whether you have activation transfers available or need to obtain one. Once the activation transfer is obtained, you may deactivate the product on the old computer using this tool: http://download.binarymark.com/bmdl.exe and send the confirmation code to us, upon which we will provide you with activation so you can use the product again.

If your order was processed before June 1, 2011: whenever you know you will need to reinstall the whole system, which can possibly alter your computer's unique ID that our product activation system uses, you must first deactivate the product using this tool: http://download.binarymark.com/bmdl.exe and send the confirmation code to us. We will then be able to give you additional activation, so you can use the product again.

Alternatively, you can always buy additional licenses at a discount.

Note that regradless of when your order was processed and whther or not you have available activation transfers, the transfer can be performed only if you purchased the original license less than 3 years ago or the new version of the product has not yet been released. If you are not qualified for the activation transfer, you need to obtain the latest version of the product at a 50% discount.


Where do I enter my serial number? How do I activate the product and get the features I paid for? The program says that I am still using Trial/Free version.

Answer:  

It is very likely that you are still using Trial/Free version of the product. So, please follow these instructions to activate the version of the product that you purchased:

1. If you have not uninstalled the Trial/Free version, uninstall it. Uninstall it by either launching the uninstall wizard from Start, All Programs, [Product Name], uninstall [Product Name] (where [Product Name] should be replaced with the ctaul name of the product you want to uninstall); or through the Control Panel under "Programs and Features" (Windows Vista and up) or "Add/Remove Software Programs" (Windows XP and older).

2. Once you have uninstalled the Free/Trial version, please check your e-mail. When you made your purchase, you should have received an order confirmation message that contains the serial number you should use to activate the product along with the download link.

3. Once you located the order confirmation message, download the full version of the product using the provided link.

4. Then run the setup file you just downloaded and follow the instructions to install the Full Version. Note: at the very last step of the Setup wizard, there may be an option to launch the program you just installed. If there is such an option, you may want to check it, so that the Full Version of the product you just installed is started automatically when you click Finish. If you decide to do that (launch the program from within the setup wizard), you should skip step 5.

5. Once you installed the product, you will find it under Start, All Programs. Note: that if you have 2 similar entries under All Programs, or if after you launch the program you still get Trial/Free version, it means that: either you did not uninstall the Trial/Free version properly as described in step 1, or that you ran the Trial/Free Version setup file and installed it again (instead of running the setup of and installing the Full Version) in which case you should repeat more carefully steps 1 through 4. Once you found the product shortcut, launch the product.

6. After launching the Full Version of the product for the first time, it will ask you to enter a serial number that you have received (you will find it in your order confirmation e-mail). Then simply follow the instructions to activate the program. Once activated you can start using it.

I need to activate the product on another computer. How can I do it?

Answer:  

As stated in our Licensing and Activation Policy, our products are licensed on a per computer basis. You can use the product on as many computers as you have activations available provided by the license(s) you purchased. This means, for example, if you have purchased 1 Personal/Single license that provides one activation, you can activate and use the product on 1 computer only.

Thus, if you have any available activations left, you can simply install and activate the product on another computer with the serial number you received in your order confirmation e-mail. If, on the other hand, you have already used all available activations, a warning will be displayed and activation will fail when you try to activate the product on a new computer, letting you know you are out of activations.

At this point, there are two possibilities for you: 1) you can get an additional license of the latest version for your newer computer / hard drive / OS at a discount; OR 2) you can transfer your activation from your old computer / hard drive / OS to a new one, provided that you purchased the original license less than 3 years ago or the new version of the product was not yet released. If you prefer option 1, please contact us to get you extra license discount and a direct order link. If you prefer option 2 instead, read on.

If your order was processed before June 1, 2011, and provided that the new version of the product was not yet released: before you can transfer the product to a new computer / hard drive / OS, you will need to deactivate it by following these steps: 1) download and save deactivation tool: http://download.binarymark.com/bmdl.exe; 2) run it with Administrative Rights; 3) deactivate the product; 4) send us the response code generated by the tool; 5) uninstall the product from your old computer / hard drive / OS. At the most, it only takes a few minutes to perform these steps. Once we receive the response code generated by the deactivation tool, we will grant you additional activation, so that you can transfer to and use the product on a new computer / hard drive / OS. Henceforth, whenever you need to transfer activation from your old computer / hard drive / OS to the new one, make sure you perform the same procedure again.

If your order was processed before June 1, 2011 and the new version of the product has been released: you will need to update to the latest version at a 50% discount.


My Serial Number is not being accepted by the program. How do I fix it?

Answer:  

If you cannot get passed Serial Number entry screen, it is likely you simply mistyped your serial number, which is why we recommend you to copy-paste you serial number instead of typing it in. To paste your serial number please follow these instructions:

1. Locate your serial number in your order confirmation e-mail.
2. Select the whole number using a mouse by first left-clicking at the beginning of the serial number text and then while holding down left-mouse button dragging the mouse until you reach the end of the serial number. At this point the serial number should be selected (highlighted).
3. Then position your mouse over the selected serial number and right-click on the selection.
4. Left click Copy in the menu that appears.
5. Run the program (if it is not already running), and when asked to enter the serial number click on the Paste button that appears to the right of the serial number field.

To complete the activation: Click Next, select Online Activation, make sure you are connected to the Internet, and make sure your Firewall will not block the program. Click Next one more time to activate the program. After that the program is activated and you can start using it.

If you did get passed the Serial Number entry screen, but the program refuses to activate, we recommend you to try activating it again in 10 minutes. If it still fails without giving you a descriptive reason (such as not having any licenses left), please contact us.


The program asks me to activate it again and again. Why?

Answer:  

This may happen if the activation information file that the program creates when you activate it, is modified, moved, or deleted. So, please make sure that neither you nor any software (such as Anti-Virus for example) modifies the contents of the following folder in any way: "C:\Users\All Users\PAI" for Windows 2008, 7, and Vista or "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\PAI" for Windows XP and 2003.
